| Project Title: | Functional properties of mango cultivars marketed in the United States |
| Abstract of Project : | |
| India is the largest producer and USA is the largest importer of mangoes in the world. My Fulbright project aims to determine the antioxidant and sensory quality characteristics of mango cultivars to enhance consumer acceptability. In addition, it will also examine the nutritional and health promoting functional properties of mango cultivars marketed in the United States as compared to the Indian mango cultivars with export potential. Thirdly, my project will help develop new value-added products from mango processing solid waste. | |
